Looking Ahead: NetCenter’s Vision for the Next 25 Years
As NetCenter looks ahead into the next 25 years, their sights are set on continually growing and further excelling in providing products and tools that will have a positive lasting effect on the people they serve. NetCenter is focused on four main objectives as they set their sights on the next 25 years. The first is growth in the company, of course, but more importantly their impact on the community. The second is training for all their employees so they can continue to excel in their position, from IT help desk to sales, they can continue to improve the customer experience. The third is researching and implementing new technology to make the customer experience overall better, and lastly, explore new products for their customers, so NetCenter can remain on the cutting-edge of technology.
NetCenter Technologies’ story began in 1997 when Don Rubertus, their President and Founder with 14-years of previous Telcom experience, made the decision to start his own business and focus on what was new technology at the time, Voice Over IP (VOIP) phone systems in the Fargo/ Moorhead market. In January 1997 Don formed a new company called Network Center Communications (NCC). Due to Don’s foresight, NetCenter was the first company in the area to offer and install a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) phone system that same year.
With the help of co-owners Kent Bergeron and Jim Nagel, NCC originally focused on communications, security cameras, access control, audiovisual, voice/data, and fiber optic cabling. Looking forward they knew that data was the future of business technology and proceeded to hire and grow further into the data industry. In 2008, NetCenter expanded its offerings to include IT services to better serve its customers and meet the demands of their ever-growing data-centric world. In 2019, they changed their name to NetCenter Technologies, to better reflect what they do–technology.
